In late 2009 a member of the original From First to Last lineup was asked to leave the band. Travis Richter, the bands screamer and guitarist had grown apart from the rest of the band and near the end of his run with FFTL Travis created a side project called The Color of Violence that had a much heavier sound than the post-hardcore FFTL was making. The Color of Violence released their full length LP Youthanize in 2009 and the band toured a little around North America in promotion. Afterwards Travis and TCOV band mate Derek (who is also an original From First To Last member) returned back to FFTL to write their newest effort Throne to the Wolves. The writing process must've been a highly straining one because it was then that FFTL asked Travis to leave due to "creative differences".So what has Travis been up too since being kicked out of the sinking ship that is FFTL? Well on March 29th progressive metalcore outfit The Human Abstract stated that they'd found a replacement for their vocalist Nathan Ells with whom they had parted ways and it was later revealed on april 8th that The Human Abstract had adopted Travis as their new lead vocalist. Also announced, original Human Abstract guitarist and song writer A.J. "BPM" Minette had had a change of heart and rejoined the band (he originally left because he didn't want to play metal anymore). Getting down to business the band has already stated that they've been co-writing material for the new untitled album with A.J. Minette. Minette will also serve as the producer of the album. An offical statement on their myspace reads as follows:
“April 8, 2010 - Hopeless Records band The Human Abstract is pleased to announce their newly appointed frontman and vocalist, Travis Richter formerly of From First to Last and The Color of Violence. The band also has an addition of original guitarist/songwriter A.J. Minette, leading the helm on writing duties for the new record. The Human Abstract is currently tucked away in downtown Los Angeles writing and preparing for their third full length album for Hopeless Records. "We couldn't be more pumped on the current state of the band and can't wait to give our fans the best album our hard work has to offer, " drummer Brett Powell adds. The album's recording is set to take place this summer with a tentative release for this coming fall.”
With an original member reunited with the band, and a new front man that's already established a name for himself, fans can be sure that The Human Abstract's latest CD will not disappoint.

So glad to hear. I stopped listening to THA because of Midheaven.
Not only is A.J Minette returning amazing news, but booting Nathan is the cherry ontop. Hated that guy.
Fantastic news :)
FFTL has fallen so far down, it's actually quite sad.
