An “UP!” Inspired Engagement Shoot

A newly engaged couple decided to base their engagement photos on their favorite movie "UP" (about a 78-year-old man who ties balloons to his house and flies away, with an 8-year-old stowaway.) These photos are absolutely incredible it’s uplifting to see creative engagement photography. I haven’t seen a beautiful and touching engagement session such as this one in a while. Wildlfowers Photography absolutely captured the sweetness perfectly.

V magazine celebrates women of all shapes and all sizes. The New V Magazine issue hits the newsstands January 14th. The publication only uses plus-size models. My initial thought when I saw this editorial was that using different sizes is a step forward. The use of plus size models in a editorial like this is destined to challenge our definitions of what is beautiful. Fashion can be very negative when it comes to weight, but showing these women as sexy and confident is definitely a positive step forward.

Michael Jackson’s cover includes a photo of the idol photographed by Annie Leibovitz, with interviews done with the singer in the late 70’s. Farrah Fawcett’s cover was photographed by Bruce McBroom taken in 1976 on the same day she was photographed in her famous red bathing suit.
